Baby activites that include both parents

I'm stuck for activities my partner and I can do together with baby, especially when he gets home from work. We've been taking a divide and conquer approach since she was born, but I'd love us to spend more time together! DD is 9 months.

Swimming?

Whatever you do individually surely you can do together Confused, I assume at 9 months she’s a bit young for board games or jigsaws Grin but surely you can read books together, sing songs, nursery rhymes, play with teddies ..... can’t really remember what else 9 month olds do, when mine was that age I was just delighted to hand him over to Dad! Swimming, going to the park, for a walk etc etc.

Surely after work, that is what sort of happens - one entertains / baths / does bedtime for the grumpiness that is a baby at the end of the day whilst the other gets on with getting the meal ready / tidying up, etc.

At 9 months, there isn't much 'activity' needed. They will interact with whichever adult is near them

Pass a ball between you all, read books to her together, play with musical instruments (drum/pots and pans/ rainmaker).. messy play - bubble, edible paint etc tons of ideas on Pinterest..

One of you in the bath with the baby, the other one in a comfy chair. Music, mugs of tea fielded by the one who's in the chair.

Read a book with one of you doing the narrative and one of you doing the voices.
