Last week I managed to lose a loaf of bread between car and kitchen, this week a large bag of ground coffee that I definitely had in the kitchen has gone missing before I put in the cupboard! I've looked everywhere and it seems to have disppeared.Hmm

Well you either have a bloated family of caffeine-frenzied Borrowers living under your stairs, or your house has decided to start its own secret Brexit cupboard without your knowledge Grin

Bet the bread is in the car still or lurking in plain sight behind the rose bush. Or your neighbour is cheerfully watching you come and go while eating toast with a nice cuppa coffee. Grin

In the bin....

As l put my shopping away l put my empty packets in the bin ( l say mine, if l use the last of something l put the packet straight in the bin). Two weeks ago l put a fresh chicken, biscuits and the dish washing tablets in the bin too.

We lost a cake last week. We use car club cars so I expect the next person to use that car got a pleasant surprise when they opened the boot.

My borrowers take very unexpected items. 3 potato peelers so far, a sink plug, several cookie cutters...

But I hold the children responsible for disappearing foodstuffs.

They will have slipped through the space-time continuum & will turn up in the middle of your kitchen table when you least expect it.

We lost an enormous loaf of bread, which DH swears he brought in from the car and put on top of the bread bin (he is incapable of putting bread actually in the bread bin, but that's another thread...). Never seen again. Not in the car, not in any of the cupboards - just gone.
