How long does job app shortlisting take?

Morning all
I applied for a job last week & the deadline was Friday (a week ago)
I feel like my application was strong.
I haven't applied for another job in AGES and can't remember how long it takes for them to let you know if you're shortlisted.
Any recent experiences, anyone?
I'm thinking a week I'd quite long.
They've been clear that I'll only be contacted if shortlisted.
Really want to get ab interview and feeling quite anxious! Confused

It varies massively in my experience. In my current department it can take upwards of a month to be notified you've got an interview. Everyone is too busy to prioritise shortlisting. People must think they've been unsuccessful and give up by the time they hear from us!

Thanks Luaa :)
I'm not feeling so anxious now

Please don't worry, I've recently had one where it took 2 months for them to contact me, and 3 months between deadlines and interview, and now another month+ to get a decision (they did explain this delay in the interview though). But l'll admit that at the application stage I had kind of given up after a month and decided they were quite rude not letting me know that I had been unsuccessful.

Ha ha yes it was a bit weird. I'm not sure how I feel about the whole thing, and working for them, but as I was the first one interviewed (or close enough) in 4 weeks of interviews (only a few fitted in each week due to people's schedules), my chances are pretty slim anyway. I mean who can recall everything (except the negatives!) about the person they spoke to 4 weeks ago...
