Random goodie bag

Ok long story short my friend is going through an awful time with her fiancé, kids and house involved and it's all up in the air whether they stay together or not.

Our "thing" is that at Christmas and birthdays we buy each other lots of random/ cheap little bits with a note attached for example ...a lipstick wrapped up with a note "for when lunch date turns to dinner date" or a nail file "for when one goes out of line" etc I know it's cheesy and I don't care, it's our thing and means the world to me.

I want to make her a really good wee bag just to cheer her up and minus the usual "cheering up" things - tea bags, gin miniature, bath bomb, scented candle my imagination is running on empty so was hoping some of you creative people could help with some other bits and pieces I could put in?

Thanks!

Some kind of positive book. I like the Bryony Gordon ones for being funny and life affirming.

If you could get a little jar and on small pieces of paper write down things you love or admire about her. Roll up the paper and tie with tiny piece of string. Then each day she feels in need of a boost she can open the jar and read a little message. I’ve done this for a few special friends and they seemed to love it even years later.

A few years ago I was having a tough time and my husband made me a set of 'Shit Day Cards', just index cards that say things like '...don't let the bastards get to you', '...you're stronger than you think', '..look 'em in the eye and think 'fuck you'!' etc. I still look at them now, they're great.

I meant to add a couple of scratch cards.

A multi pack of tissues for when she just needs to cry.
What about some berrocca or similar to give her a boost when she is feeling down.
A little charm or something she can put on her handbag or key ring so every time she sees it she’s reminded that you are there for her.
A hanging decoration thing with one of those cheesy quotes like when it rains look for rainbows & when it’s dark look for stars.

A few lemon based bits and [pieces, with a note saying something like,"life has given you lemons so I used them to make this" and have lemon vodka, lemonade, lemon curd maybe a lemon centred candle.
