Chest infection - what does this mean?

My GP said I have “reduced airway entry” on the left lung. Chest X-ray shows no pneumonia. On antibiotics and feeling a bit better but was just curious. Tia.

I'd be interested in any answers to this. Whenever I hear if someone with a chest infection, I wonder exactly what part of the chest is infected.

I've also got a question about chest infections, how is it possible for one to show up on a CT scan but not an x-ray?

CT scan is more sensitive, I believe and better for looking at organs
