IKEA towels- any good?

Not a riveting thread I know (!) but I wonder if anyone can recommend ikea towels?

We need new ones (2 each so 8 or so) and haven't a huge budget.

Thanks!

Yes, surprisingly good. They don't have the luxurious fluffy feeling (if that's what you're after try Primark or Asda) but they wash well and, crucially, dry you very quickly.

Plus you get to go to ikea and buy loads of other things you don't need. Bonus.

missmouse101 · 31/01/2019 19:24

Yes, I've found them very good indeed!

IShitGlitter · 31/01/2019 19:25

yep had a good few for a about five tears they wash very well and go fluffy enough in the dryer.

Yep, really pleased with mine.

PottyPotterer · 31/01/2019 19:29

Another yes to IKEA towels. They wash and last really well, as do their bath mats, no they're not fluffy but I find fluffy towels don't dry me properly which is kinda the point of towels.

IWantMyHatBack · 31/01/2019 19:30

Yes, they're good. I like the white waffle ones.

ladygracie · 31/01/2019 19:31

Yes. Good and cheap. We have the enormous quite thin ones. Not always great colours though.

Jenniferturkington · 31/01/2019 19:32

Yes. I still have two ike bath sheets that I took to uni twenty years ago.

Yes, we still use ones we bought 16 years ago!

mejon · 31/01/2019 19:34

Yes - we've got the nobbly ones (Frajen) and they're still going strong several years down the line.

BikeRunSki · 31/01/2019 19:34

I gave one that had been in use since 1993. Still going strong.

legolimb · 31/01/2019 19:34

They vary in my opinion.

I bought some recently for guests.

The really cheap ones were thin and flimsy, but the next range up is better.

Gatekeeper · 31/01/2019 19:36

They are great...I dislike thick superfluffy towels as I find they don't dry you properly and take AGES to dry. Ikea ones are just right: Love the microfibre bathmats as well

SheSnapsThenSheFarts · 31/01/2019 19:37

I have the waffly ones too, they're great and priced in such a way that when the give up the ghost you don't flinch at replacing them

Shmithecat · 31/01/2019 19:38

Yes, the Fräjen ones are fab. Not soft and fluffy (which is fine with me), wash well, last for ages (6 years so far!) and well priced.

MitziK · 31/01/2019 19:43

They're the best towels I've ever had - as long as you don't add fabric softener, they dry you well, exfoliate, they're large, inexpensive, don't lose their colour and to me, they don't look the slightest bit different to the day I bought them roughly 9 years ago.

MiceSqueakCatsMeow · 31/01/2019 19:45

We got some four years ago. The colour is just as good and they don't look worn at all.

gerbo · 31/01/2019 19:51

Great news, thanks everyone.
