Inspired be another thread! We’re starting to look into a new car and have been looking at these two. The newer models of both of them. Anyone have any wise words about either? Thanks

Don’t know anything about the Peugeot, but I love my Tiguan. I have pretty much no interest in cars but decided I wanted one last winter and it’s great. Great in the snow, easy and comfortable to drive and even DH has pretty much abandoned his Jag in favour of my car. Hmm He likes it so much, he says when he replaces his car, he’s replacing it with a Tiguan. So we’ll have two. Grin

Another vote for a Tiguan- love mine

I had a Tiguan, loved it. So much more stylish than the Peugeot

Look at the Skoda Karoq. From the same stable as VW, but less expensive and the car mags rate it as better equipped than the Tiguan. No need to pay for the VW badge.

Or similar to Foxy’s advice, Seat Ateca is basically the same car as a Tiguan but cheaper. I had a Tiguan and now have the Ateca, love it just as much.

I hate my Peugeot, (it's not a 308) It is hands down the most uncomfortable car I have ever driven and the finish is just cheap. Never again!

DH has a Tiguan and we love it. You can fill it full of stuff, the seats go down really easily. It’s dead comfy to drive and our one has the parking thing on it so it will park itself. (Not that I’ve ever used it as it freaks me out when the steering wheel moves by itself). We like it so much DH is going to get another one or get the Touareg (bigger version) when he next trades his car in. Had it nearly three years and love it. Had a Peugeot 206 back in the day and would never get another Peugeot.

Another vote for the Tiguan. DH has one and it's lovely to drive. I have an Audi Q3 and it's a very similar. We will change DH's car later this year and will probably go for another Tiguan.

The 3008 has some expense repair bills! New headlight? £60!

We had an automatic diesel, it was good on the long roads of France, awful around British towns: sluggish when moving off, not great in small spaces.

DH has the 3008. It's lovely, drives like a dream, tons of room for the DC & we've done long journeys in it (NW England to Spain). Sat Nav is good, everything is fab except it doesn't have front screen heater (which I do in my car & he used to in the previous) and is proving a PITA atm. Apart from that, it's a brilliant SUV.

I's have the Tiguan but TBH I got the Seat Ateca. It's ££££ cheaper than the Tiguan and virtually the same car. Why pay for a badge?
