To ask what is the strangest/creepiest thing that has ever happened to you?

I've had a few "Woo" things over the years, things that are likely coincidence, but I still can't explain.

I've been with DH 15 years next month. Early on in our relationship, we split up. I was at college and fed up and said to a friend did she fancy coming into town at lunch. I NEVER went into town at lunch, ever.

She said OK and off we went. You had to walk under a bridge to get onto the pavement above. As we did, my DH (then bf) was stood there, just waiting. It was his day off and he was just as gutted as me and had decided to stand there, and wait, on the off chance I came by.

Friend was convinced I/we had mastered this plan. I had no clue 'til I saw him stood there.
------

We lived in a tiny village when I was a kid. Think 3 streets, old mill houses and a primary school of 50 kids max.

2 very strange things occurred in that house.

One time my Mum had been out and when she got in needed the loo. She went to the bathroom - which was in the centre of the house upstairs with no windows - only the door to get in and out. The door wouldn't open. She thought it stuck, so pushed it. She then went and got my Uncle who lived 2 doors up, and resembles Hagrid from Harry Potter. He pushed, shoved and shoulder barged the door. Stuck tight. He then said to my Mum she needed to call the police as he thought someone was inside as it was the only reasonable explanation for being unable to get in. The door slowly drifted open. Nothing had fallen to keep it shut. Lock still in tact.

And then another time, same house. My Mum always did a check. Doors, lights, windows, ashtrays, cooker etc before she went to bed. She went to bed but couldn't sleep. Something was bothering her but she didn't know what. She went downstairs and the grill pan - one of those that sat above the hob - was sat on the back 2 rings of the hob and the gas was ever so slightly turned on.

How about you? And can you explain any of the above???

The first, coincidence. Hanging around near your college on the hope that he'd bump into you because, even though you never went out for lunch, you'd have to come out eventually.

Second one, seized door hinge or similar that then relaxed enough to allow the door to drift open. My mum's back gate has a dodgy hinge and there are times my 6ft tall rugby playing brother can barge into it without it budging then other times it opens with no problem.

Final one, she had forgotten to turn the gas off properly and forgotten that she had forgotten but the feeling of missing something out was playing on her mind so she followed a process of elimination until she found it.

I didn't coincidences really interesting. For example I have four children and they share the same two due dates. The oldest and youngest had the same due date and the middle two had the same due date several years apart, none of them share a birthday though two of them arrived on their due dates and the other two were early/late. I have also had two miscarriages and they each shared one of the same two due dates.

Didn't coincidences = find coincidences
