Anyone use this?? Is it any good? I saw an add in one of my apps and I'm wondering about giving it a go. Is it safe?

Is completely safe - I’ve been using it for a number of years. Remember the cash back may take a while to come and can’t be guaranteed so if you are buying something it’s best to see the cash back as a bonus.

HilaryBriss · 31/01/2019 15:48

I also use them, I've claimed roughly £150 of cashback in the last 6 months.

Blue25654 · 31/01/2019 16:49

I’ve used it for years, never had a problem.

purplemirrors · 31/01/2019 16:51

It's great, I got nearly £50 back on all my Xmas shopping

LuxuryWoman2018 · 31/01/2019 17:08

Fab, have had over £500 back over 3 years including 110 for new broadband provider. Loads for hotels, theatre tickets and general shopping. Even for booking restaurant tables.

Slurpy · 31/01/2019 17:28

It's great, been using it for years and years and have made about 2 grand in cashback over the years. Free money!

TheFifthKey · 31/01/2019 17:33

Totally safe, I’ve used it for ages and it’s really reliable too.

missmouse101 · 31/01/2019 17:41

I've used it for years, made over £1000! It's great!

Poodloo · 31/01/2019 19:34

Wow thanks all! Great to know. I'll give it a go. Will definitely just see it as a bonus and not rely or anything.

I still shop around though and always compare the savings to Kidstart.

I can't believe more people don't seem to know about it. I never buy online without going through Topcashback first. (I should refer you as a friend OP, then I'll make a bit more!! Grin

TheFifthKey · 31/01/2019 22:05

I think people think this things are really penny-pinching or hardcore - like those coupon people in the US! I do cashback, supermarket points, all sorts and keep track of them carefully. Coming up to Christmas Quidco did loads of offers where you got £2.50 extra points for buying something that day, so I spread out my Christmas shopping and got lots of bonuses. Just common sense to me but friends get a bit eye-folly and “you and your bargains” like I’m reusing stamps or something. It’s literally free money!

missmouse101 · 31/01/2019 22:14

The best one I ever had was house insurance which I did through TCB and got £85 cash back. Actual free money for something I was buying anyway!

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends · 31/01/2019 22:20

Yes it's great. I use quidco too. The cashback can take ages but it's great when you forget all about it and log in to find money waiting.

Princesspond · 31/01/2019 22:23

If you know someone who uses it get a referral code from them that way you both get a bonus at the start. I used it last night as booking a group holiday - £70 cashback for something we were booking anyway!

The thing is only use it for something you were going to get anyway as sometimes the cash back doesn’t track or is declined so it’s not a guarantee. I once changed energy suppliers and got £130 on top of the other savings.

icebearforpresident · 31/01/2019 22:27

It’s great, i’ve earned over £100 in about a year and had some really good deals. I get £1 cash back on my weekly supermarket order which essentially covers the delivery cost, and got £20 back on switching my gas tarrif. I didn’t change supplier, just the tariff.

I get so annoyed now if I buy something online then realise I could have gotten cash back! It does take a while for the money to become payable but it’s nice knowing if I’m a bit short on cash for something I have a nest egg there I could take it from.

MrsPinkCock · 31/01/2019 22:48

I’ve had £2,000 from them since I started a few years ago. It’s brilliant.

You do get a fair few non payouts from certain retailers but it’s free money so I don’t care that much about the non payers.

I just leave it in the account and take the money out when I need it towards a holiday or other expense.

I don’t know why everyone doesn’t do it tbh!

BlahXXBlah · 11/02/2019 00:08

Is anyone finding payments aren't happening automatically now and need chasing up with missing cashback claims?

I seem to have had this a lot over the last year and have missed out because you have only a month to lodge a claim. Bit annoyed at how much money has gone awol from purchases that took care of themselves in the past.

tectonicplates · 11/02/2019 00:15

I don't understand what it is or how it works. Could someone please explain?

MiniMum97 · 11/02/2019 01:15

@tectonicplates it's very easy. You simply make sure that when you make an online purchase, you click through to the website you want to buy from via a link on the topcashback site. This then tracks and they (presumably) split the money they would get from the "advertising" with you. You obviously have to sign up for an account first.

WesternMeadowlark · 11/02/2019 02:01

@BlahXXBlah I've found that that's happening a bit more, but I did figure out that for a while it was being caused by some ad/tracking-blocker thing on my browser [that I hadn't asked for]. I think it was automatically installed as an update to something else.

It pays to be quite careful about turning off all of those kinds of extensions - both on the cashback site and on the site you're buying from - while you place the order, I think, though the cashback still goes through anyway sometimes.

RogueV · 11/02/2019 02:10

Been a member for a while now.
I’ve had nearly £1.5K of cashback!

BlahXXBlah · 11/02/2019 10:28

@WesternMeadowlark thanks I will try that, never thought of an ad blocker stopping it working!

If anyone wants to join topcashback please pm me for friend bonus :)

MrsScamander · 11/02/2019 10:30

I love TopCashback, never had anything go wrong and always received my cashback and an email confirmation. When you want to withdraw your cashback its easy and takes 1-2 working days max.

The only thing I would like is email notifications for cashback on my selected shops. I'm not sure if they do this already but if they do I didn't sign up to it!

BlahXXBlah · 11/02/2019 11:03

I've just been going through my account and there are a lot of email options so maybe you could check your settings and get notifications?
