Anyone rate Aldi baked beans? I have picked up a tin of Essentials & a tin of premium to try. Always been a Heinz girl but prepared to swap if any good

The premium ones (blue and red label) are fine. Akin to Heinz IMO

The cheap ones... white label(?) have a watery sauce.

my other half prefers cross and bakewell he dosent like aldis ones, they are fine in something but got to admit i am a snob for beans, i like heinz still, but all their other tinned stuff is great its only beans here that we wont eat from aldi

We much prefer the Aldi red and blue label ones to any others now.
Dh recently grabbed a tin of Heinz from a local shop and I thought we would all prefer them but it reinforced how much we prefer the Aldi ones

I don't like them, stuff in cans is probably the only things I don't really like in Aldi - soup etc, but I haven't had them for ages, so recipes may have changed. I don't like Heinz beans either though.

We buy Branston beans, you can usually get 3 tins for a pound or 4 for £1.50 that sort of price. No idea how that compares with other brands.

You can only try them and see and not buy them again if you don't like them. I know a lot of people say 'it can only be Heinz' but I'd bet that a good percentage of these would struggle to identify Heinz in a genuine blind tasting and still say they like them best - this is usually what happens in Eat Well For Less. People say they must have certain brands, but when in plain containers, they have no idea what has been swapped, what hasn't and often write off their favourite brand as shite.

I really really dislike Heinz beans i think they are gross and the sauce isnt thick enough.
My favourite ones are Tescos value ones all ive bought for years now!
