Ebay Refund

I sold an item and the buyer paid for Parcelforce 48 hour delivery (approx £10). She was specific that she needed it by Saturday at the latest and this should have been delivered by Parcelforce on Friday. Parcelforce didn't deliver it until the Monday.

Obviously she didn't want it and claimed that the item was slightly damaged. She has now returned it back to me by Parcelforce (paid by her). On inspection, the item is not damaged.

What happens now? I have very little experience of ebay. Do I have to refund her the full initial cost she paid inc delivery? I'm assuming it's up to me to try and claim off Parcelforce for the late delivery. What about the 2nd delivery charge she paid?

Help!!

This needs to go into the Ebay topics.
Did she request a refund through Ebay? I am not certain but I guess that you will have to pay for both postage costs and claim from Parcelforce.

If she has sent it back without going through ebay resolution you just refund her what she paid intitially as in cost of item and postage from you to her as you cant refund through paypal more than she paid you, if you are a private seller this is fine as private sales buyer is responsible for return postage, and if the item is fine just relist it after you have refunded her

Thanks. She's just emailed me and not gone through eBay so I'll just refund the cost of the item and initial postage through PayPal. Sorry didn't realise there was an eBay forum.

if you search the topics on here its under in the club ebay really useful as there are all types of different sellers on there i sell for a charity so different rules apply to me than on my own private account
