Tattoo at 40 - midlife cliche?

I'm considering a small tattoo on my foot that means something to me. I turned 40 last year so I'm wondering if I'm a cliche?!

Not at all. I've just had my fifth and I'm late forties.

Good to hear Smile
I overthink everything and really at my age I'm trying to grow out of it. Which is part of the reason for a tattoo. Always wanted one but have talked myself out of it so many times. It's fear of judgement and that's ridiculous!

I had a small one on my shoulder in my early 30s. It is a unique design by someone special to me. No regrets.

But choose your artist with care and, if possible, recommendation.

cliche and naff ( like tattoos at any age)

I got my first last year at 34. I wanted something that was just 'mine' so maybe there was a touch of midlife crisis to it! Don't regret it though. I spent nearly a year settling on a design and finding an artist I was happy with.
