The dust, the dust!

I left something out last night and am horrified that this morning it’s already covered in a layer of dust!

Has anyone worked out a way not to be inundated with dust in an old property? It’s just everywhere.....

No but I wish I knew. Bumping ...

Obviously everyone else doesn’t live under a layer of dust @hopeclearwater !

I do at the moment! We're in the first week of a five-week building job (loft conversion) and despite shutting every door the dust is unbelievable already. They've told us that the worst of the actual construction work will be done this week and hopefully it won't be that bad thereafter, as they'll be mostly outside working inwards as opposed to hurling timbers through the loft hatch onto the landing, but it's just hideous.

Hoover, hoover, hoover Hmm
The place is still a hovel if we don't dust for two or three days, but it does seem to alleviate the issue a little.
Some days I find myself yearning for a nice, clean, new build (but not for long Grin)

@spiderlight we had one last year. I suspect that has added to the never ending dust

Please tell me this dust isn't going to last a year?! Was it worth it, though? I am firmly in 'Why are we doing this?' territory.

The dust lasts forever seemingly!

Loft is great though!
