Chicken pie

Hi

Can someone tell me if I could brown off some chicken, add some veg, then put in a tray with gravy and place some just roll short crust pastry on top as a quick and easy pie?

I more or less do that.
I use leftover roast chicken, veg and gravy in a casserole dish, and put a sheet of puff pastry on the top if I’ve not got time to make pie from scratch
