What food at a barn dance?

I'm having a barn dance for a big birthday this year (exciting!!!).

Going to have cider and hay bales and all the rest of it - but what about food? I'd love to have a hog roast but have a fair few veggies coming.

Any suggestions?

Hot dogs! Veggie/meat

All the sauces
Fried onions
Or onion rings
Slaw

Just do shed loads! Easy to do too

Last one I went to had a terrible party food buffet that looked like it had been around since the 80s, it was that stale.

Best I've had at a barn dance is hot dogs and salads- both veggie and meat options available.

Or a traditional ploughmans.

And gallons of cider.

er - no.... a hog roast has to be done outside.
I don't think the hall owners would be amused at you setting it up in their hall Grin

Shit, really? I don't want to roast it inside - I thought you could get them to bring it cooked?

I'm actually really liking the hotdogs idea, and ice lollies is genius.
