Hi Lkbbdg, can you try and take some slow, deep breaths? Inhale deeply, exhale deeply. It'll help clear your head a bit.

Pillowaddict · 29/01/2019 01:22

Not sire if this helps panic attacks bit does anxiety: breathe slowly and remove tongie from roof of your mouth. Do some tapping, on your temple, eyebrows and collar bones, 20 short and gentle taps on each while saying out loud "I'm okay, it's going to be ok". Slow your breathing down as you do it.

LadyRochfordsIcedGusset · 29/01/2019 01:23

Was just about say, try and breathe deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth as slowly as possible, keep doing it.

LadyRochfordsIcedGusset · 29/01/2019 01:25

Distraction helps too, could you put a podcast, audio book or television on?

TanteRose · 29/01/2019 01:25

breathe with this gif

hope you're okay OP

Cagliostro · 29/01/2019 01:27

Try the 54321.

Look around and list (whether out loud or in your head, up to you)
5 things you can see
4 things you can hear
3 things you can touch
2 things you can smell
1 thing you can taste
💐

It’s ok to be anxious x

Lkbbdg · 29/01/2019 01:28

i can't slow it down
i've got up but noise will wake ds who is a light sleeper
i started a new job this week, my first day went well and got good feedback so dunno why this is happening

Cagliostro · 29/01/2019 01:30

Don’t worry about slowing it down. It will happen in its own time.

Just try and focus on your senses. Xx

tanitani · 29/01/2019 01:32

I'm 9 hours ahead so definitely up. __

As hard as it can be to stick with the breathing - try to stick with it for just 5 minutes. You can even say "After 5 minutes I'll try something else or give up" but just those 5 minutes should help calm your breathing down.

Flowers Flowers It's a horrible feeling I know. You'll be okay. You can do this.

LadyRochfordsIcedGusset · 29/01/2019 01:33

I know how you're feeling OP, try and push negative thinking away, the 54321 is a great idea.

And well done on your positive feedback so soon in the new job.

TanteRose · 29/01/2019 01:39

yes, well done on the new job and good feedback Smile
What is the job? Is it something you've not done before?
