Night alone in a (posh) hotel

I have a training course through work which means I get a night in a nice hotel.

Planning a pamper session (not the spa though, can't bear it) and to watch a couple of movies I've been wanting to see. I'm not a fan of the restaurant so I'm taking bits to eat on the night. I'm already taking:

Cheese and beetroot
Nice ham Grin
Good bread and butter
Cheese puff crisps
Chocolate

But I'm drawing a blank on what else to take. Inspire me!

Don't forget BOB!

Magmatic80 · 28/01/2019 20:59

Ooh lovely, take bubble bath and cosy socks!

caffeinebuzz · 28/01/2019 21:00

Ah, not such a good suggestion then! Maybe a nice sparkling elderflower or whatever your fancy non-alcoholic drink of choice is.

LuckyLou7 · 28/01/2019 21:00

Comfy pyjamas.

halfwitpicker · 28/01/2019 21:01

Fancy toiletries? Nail varnish?

Ribbonsonabox · 28/01/2019 21:02

Bath bomb! Scented candle! Posh tea if you are into tea

VictoriaBun · 28/01/2019 21:03

I know where your coming from re eating alone, but if it were me I'd push myself a little and go for a really early table and enjoy the whole experience to make the most of it. Jealous much !

QuestionableMouse · 28/01/2019 21:14

I don't care about eating alone. I was at the same hotel for a wedding last year and thought the food was overpriced and not very nice Blush. And to be honest, I'd rather veg out in my PJs and relax than eat out.

VictoriaBun · 28/01/2019 21:21

A big bar of chocolate , and cheese, lots of cheese .

Lightsdown · 28/01/2019 21:25

Room service if I'm on expenses with work

thornyhousewife · 28/01/2019 21:28

Silk pants and fluffy socks!

QuestionableMouse · 28/01/2019 21:28

Beetroot will be consumed strictly at the table. 😂

Chocolate is a given. No expenses sadly so just on my pennies.

And yes, the idea of a king-size bed all to myself sounds blissful!

I'd take things like a nice hair and face mask to slap on whilst in my pj's in a place where no one can see me looking daft :-)

Then I'd have a bath with nice bubbles, wash and style my hair in a relaxing manner (meaning I'd want my own hairdryer with me).

I might also think about doing my nails/toenails :-)

Food wise I'd also probably also take some nice pâte.

MrsJayy · 28/01/2019 21:42

Good i forsaw (maybe nota word) a beetroot incident Grin

GalacticChickenShit · 28/01/2019 22:08

Ear plugs?

starfishmummy · 28/01/2019 22:12

Room service. Where I used to stay for work they did a cheese platter. Which I would order with chips. Dead classy, me!!

ChasedByBees · 28/01/2019 22:13

I was thinking the beetroot was a terrible idea too! I would take olives instead and salted pecans.

OhTheRoses · 28/01/2019 22:14

Sleeping pill. Helps in strange bed.

JustHereForThePooStories · 28/01/2019 22:19

I do this a lot.

I take-
A hair conditioning treatment
Face mask
Foot peel socks
Olives
(I normally order some room service that includes wine)
Chocolate
Kindle
iPad
Bluetooth speaker

QuestionableMouse · 28/01/2019 22:48

I sleep just fine. Probably better at than at home because I won't have a cat poking me all night. Smile

Room service comes from the same restaurant I think so maybe not. I'll have to double check.
