Size one nappy recommendations for boys please

We've been using the Pampers Pure Protect for a couple of weeks, now got the normal Pampers.
With both of them, when he's lying on his back, his pee goes straight up his back. Twice today the nappies have been bone dry but he has a wet back. My washing machine hates and has started the dreaded rattling on the spin cycle

I hate pampers , I've found Sainsbury's and Aldi great

How funny we have been having a simular problem! We thought it was us not putting them on tight enough

I found with my little boy nappy pants by pampers were best, also make sure his parts are pointing down, and the nappy pants is pulled over the tummy xx

Nappy pants are amazing but smallest size is a 3! Highly recommend when he’s a little older. We used Aldi nappies for size 1&2 and never had any issues! Once he was sleeping longer and more wriggly we started getting leaks and moved to the nappy pants. My son was very thin as a baby so in size 1 until 4 months and they still held all the urine with no leaks xx

Aldi size 1& 2 were fab for our little boy to start with but then I had to switch to pampers baby dry for size 3 to avoid leaks. I’ve heard many people find Aldi’s the best initially but then pampers baby dry for slightly older boy babies...including us!

Not for a boy but I happily use Asda, Aldi and Sainsbury’s with no leaks but had lots of leaks with pampers. Also what weight is he? Maybe he needs size 2?

He's 10lb or thereabouts

I think size 2 starts at 7lbs. Maybe 7-13lbs so you could try sizing up?

My DS was in size 2 by 10lbs so I'd recommend sizing up. Also, make sure his willy is pointing down when putting his nappy back on. Took me ages to figure that one out after two DDs!

Size 1 only does until 11lbs. I would try size 2

Have you been pointing his willy down? When the willy isn't pointing straight down it can move about in the nappy and end up sideways which points the stream of wee at the non-absorbent bit on the side. When they are lying on their backs this then rolls around to the back of the nappy and comes out the top.

And yes size up as soon as you hit the weight criteria for the next one. You tend to get leaks out the leg holes when the nappy reaches capacity.

Pampers don't have any elastic across the back, also. Own brand ones are very good these days and tend to be elasticated aross the back.

We use pampers just make sure it’s pointing downwards to avoid leaks

You can't get nappy pants style before size 4 I think.
