Pringles. What is the best flavour?

Pringles. Am I correct in thinking the best flavour is sour cream and cheese, and that no other Pringle flavours come close to it?

OP posts:

Sour cream and chive
Followed by original.

Either dipped in Philadelphia or Primula cheese spread squirted on. 😋😋😋

SoupDragon · 28/01/2019 17:13

*I have actually found the aldi own pringles to be the closest rival to the original

I agree. I think I prefer their sour cream and onions to the originals actually.

We try not to eat crisps too often from a healthy eating point of view, especially with the DCs. Something like Kettle Crisps seem a better choice than Pringles. They are kind of addictive though. It helps me not to buy them too often if I remember that Pringles are made from a slurry of rice, wheat, corn and potato flakes, pressed into shape. Some flavours contain MSG. We call them A Dirty Snack. Blush

Paprika

Pennina · 28/01/2019 17:26

Sour cream or pizza flavour also nice

keepingbees · 28/01/2019 17:50

Flame grilled steak.
Salt and vinegar (not keen on normal salt and vinegar crisps)
Ready salted if they're quite salty.

The sour cream and onion are too much for me after a couple.

onlyhereforthefood · 28/01/2019 17:56

Top three:

  1. Paprika
  2. Plain
  3. Sour cream and onion
HouseyMcHouseFace · 28/01/2019 19:30

I think the plain ones taste like cardboard

FaFoutis · 28/01/2019 19:32

Paprika, but not as nice as paprika Lays.

Geekster1963 · 28/01/2019 19:35

Salt and vinegar with BBQ a close second.

MamaDane · 28/01/2019 19:38

Pringles Tortilla Nacho Cheese. I used to be addicted to those.

Then Salt and Vinegar when pregnant

MamaDane · 28/01/2019 19:39

I agree @HouseyMcHouseFace I'd rather not eat pringles than have plain pringles.

needsleepzzz · 28/01/2019 19:40

@Justme10 Thank you!!! Asda here I come

needsleepzzz · 28/01/2019 19:41

I agree @aquaviv I like the Aldi version, they need more flavours Grin

EdWinchester · 28/01/2019 19:43

Plain. Anything else strips the lining off the roof of my mouth.

In the USA, they used to sell fat free Pringles. I loved them but I think they had a dodgy ingredient.

DaedricLordSlayer · 28/01/2019 19:44

Fame grilled steak, hands down here.

They appeared in our local Sainsbury's before Christmas and they seem to still be stocking them now Smile

DaedricLordSlayer · 28/01/2019 19:44

*Flame

Justme10 · 28/01/2019 19:44

@needsleepzzz I think I need to go get some now Grin

unusualcolours · 28/01/2019 19:52

Salt and vinegar!

Or the tortilla sour cream ones with homemade guacamole!

Getabloominmoveon · 28/01/2019 19:55

I'm afraid OP is categorically right. Sour cream IS the only Pringle worthy of the name. Perfect on an Easyjet evening flight, accompanied by a gin and tonic.

AlecOrAlonzo · 28/01/2019 20:05

I still think fondly of the now discontinued Wasabi flavour. I really miss them.

In their absence I eat the salt and vinegar ones.

TeaAddict235 · 28/01/2019 20:10

Smoky bacon

Or

Plain

Yum yum

Redpriestandmozart · 28/01/2019 20:11

Favourite are only available in USA/Canada, Dill Pickle omg I could live on them :)

PetuliaBlavatsky · 28/01/2019 20:15

Thank goodness someone else mentioned the nacho cheese ones, can't believe it took so long! By far the best flavour! They are usually around half price in Lidl and I always stock up then eat the lot.
After nacho cheese it'd be paprika, sour cream & onion and prawn cocktail all in second place.

MrsLJ2014 · 28/01/2019 20:18

Has anybody seen the salt and pepper ones anywhere? Please? They were so tasty!
