Ocado and M&S

We ship with Ocado and I saw this about Ocado possibly switching to M&S instead of Waitrose. Would you stick with Ocado if they did?

I think prices might rise which would possibly be the end of Ocado for me.

The majority of my order is waitrose own brand, I try to avoid the ocado brand meat and veg even for substitutes as just don't think the quality is the same.

Really hoping that waitrose direct up their game significantly in the next year. It's been a while, but my last experiences with them were pretty poor.

I’ll probably still do some Ocado orders but not as many - I love the Waitrose essentials range, it’s really good.

I don’t know why they can’t stock both brands - what are M&S and Waitrose so scared if that they can’t go head to head on one platform? It would be amazing for consumers! Percy pigs and Waitrose goodies!

@Mrscog That really would be the dream!!

This is rubbish Sad I love the Ocado app but I've had a quick look at my receipts and I buy loads of Waitrose own. My closest Waitrose is in another town almost half an hour away, with dreadful parking. I can't bear M&S for actual groceries, I remember popping into their food hall a few times when I.worked in central London and I practically had to remortgage to buy some chicken. I will probably cancel my smartpass and work harder at learning to love Aldi.

I know this is first world problem but i am gutted as i love getting waitrose with my ocado shop! I will go with waitrose direct as i buy a lot of waitrose essentials and i find m and s too expensive, i dont think this is a good move and i feel a lot of customers will just switch to waitrose direct

Shopping with ocado 4 years and love their Waitrose stuff. Would probably have to go elsewhere tbh

BrendasUmbrella · 03/03/2019 00:08

always go back to Ocado as the others aren't reliable on delivery times and usually half the order is missing (often the stuff on "offer") looking at you, Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys

This has been my experience with Ocado, unfortunately. A delivery I booked for 12-1pm last week turned up at 10am with a cheery "Hi, I'm a bit early." I don't mind when they turn up 20 minutes early, but two hours was a bit much.

I was initially quite pleased with the news as there is no M&S in my town, but how many orders of Percy Pigs and Dirty Fries will I really need...

Mrscog · 03/03/2019 07:45

@brendasumbrella the dirty fries really are quite something aren’t they? Grin
