Sexist car ad!

I find the new Lexus car ad incredibly sexist.

• 2 women picking up hire car at airport can’t believe their luck when the key unlocks a flash Lexus instead of the small car they thought they were getting
• then we see a montage of them living a life of luxury eg posh restaurants, yachts, doors being opened for them figuratively and literally.
• when they drop car back off at the airport they see a businessman in a suit getting out the small car they initially thought was theirs. He looks miffed, they laugh and shrug their shoulders at him.

It’s awful. The whole premise is essentially that two women could never expect to live the blessed and luxury life of a successful business man but get to do so due to a car hire mix up.

Seriously? Get a life

I’m not sure being rude was necessary. Think about how you treat people and don’t use the cloak of anonymity to be mean.

I agree, I hate that ad too for the same reasons! Such a tired old cliche!

Of course it's overtly sexist, once you see casual every day sexism you cannot under it. It's like our white noise.
