Collars on men's shirts?

Currently looking at 7 of DH shirts (moderately expensive Jermyn Street ones) which are worn through at the collar but are otherwise in good condition. Is there any way for these to be refurbished?

Seems so wasteful to throw away so much nice tailoring just because the collar is frayed.

There are patterns available to make girls dresses out of old shirts.
I'm keeping a bag of similar ones to make into a quilt one day.

I like the idea of a quilt but the realist in me says I'll never get round to it!

I'm pretty sure I'll end up having someone else make it
