my sister is expecting her first baby in july and i want to make a hamper to give to her, that includes things for the new baby, herself and the Dad.
any ideas on what to put in it?
i've already picked up some baby shampoo, body wash and things for the bath. Other family members have already picked up baby grows and muslin cloths ect. just wondered if there were other essentials that she might need?
also, anybody know where i can buy an empty hamper from thats not too expensive, but quite big? thanks!

What a lovely idea!

Sudocrem,
Small pack of nappies & wipes,
A comforter,
Towel & flannel.

For mum &/or dad -
Bubble baths,
Chocolate,
A good book / magazine,
Takeaway voucher.

Handcream with a push down squirter. You wash your hands loads when you have a new baby.
Nice cordial if she is bfing.
Good quality nutricious snacks.
Just eat voucher.
Nice pjs. Button down if bf.

Sock-ons for the baby.
A swaddle.
Pram toy - you know the strings that go across giving the baby something to look at.

Carboot or charity shop for hamper.

My SIL did this for me and the best things she included were Gripe Water and Infacol - at 2am, 10 weeks in I could have cried with joy when I remembered they were in the cupboard!
