Can you tell me about it please?

Why do you like it? Or not like it?
Are there good schools?
What's your favourite thing to do there?

No but grew up near by. Terrible reputation, town centre is awful. Sorry, but we avoided it like the plague. Are you looking at other areas nearby?

I do... It's not great but we like our lives.. Hatfield park is nice and if you live in the right postcode you can get a residents pass. St Albans and welwyn are both nice so we go there a lot too. Houses are cheaper in Hatfield though which is why we are there.

We're just applying for primary schools but the ones we looked at all seemed nice. We're the north side of the town though, I'm not sure about the South side.

To add, the town centre is rubbish. Asda, a few charity shops and a couple of cheap clothes shops. But there are do many nice places nearby it doesn't really matter. The library is good and some people like the galleria for shopping.

I would not recommend moving to Hatfield. It's a town in dire need of regeneration. I believe that Hatfield Garden Village is ok, but do consider St Albans or Welwyn Garden City instead. Both tons nicer with good schools and nicer town centres.

I used to live in a reasonably nice bit of Hatfield but I wouldn’t recommend it - very run-down with not much to do. As previous posters have said, St Albans and WGC are nicer. I also lived in Hitchin which is nice with good schools.

Crap. No decent secondaries. What I'd call a shit hole. I'd only ever go for the Galeria but even that seems to have gone downhill in recent years. A lot cheaper than St Albans for housing.

Thanks for the honest feedback! Looking at lots of options at the moment. Will take it off the list!
