My daughter is 10 months.

She usually goes by Colie.

Other names include:

Bean
Beanie
Colie-bean
Cols
Hats
Sausage

None of those are her actual name.

What nicknames do you use for yours which don't even vaugley resemble their name?!

Quack quack. (when she's calming down after a cry she makes a noise like a duck!)

Aprilshowersarecomingsoon · 27/01/2019 12:24

Ds has been Squiddy for his whole 4 years.
Prob use it more than his actual name tbh!

wornoutboots · 27/01/2019 12:25

Versions of their names given to them by siblings who were learning to talk. They do not resemble their actual name s.

I have twins, they are pinky and perky, they answer to their names now :-)

FaithInfinity · 27/01/2019 12:29

DD has been ‘pudding’ or ‘puds’ since she was tiny. A colleague of mine said ‘I hope you don’t call her that in front of her friends!’ (She’s 5 now), she thought DD would be embarrassed. I asked DD and she said she likes it!

Bubbi 😂

DramaAlpaca · 27/01/2019 12:54

I used to call my youngest DS Whizzy or Whizzbob. His older brothers soon changed it to Whingebob or Whingey which I discouraged because it sounded a bit mean, but they meant it affectionately & DS didn't object to it. He still answers to it & he's 21 Grin

AbsolCatly · 27/01/2019 13:33

The youngest gets called Sausage / Mini mouse or just mouse / Jellybean /dangerous beans / cookie dough - the older two one is magpie/maggot pie or 'short version of name'-bear and the other one is Squirrel / Sqilil Small

All also answer to Cloth Ears when nothing else attracts their attention
