So everyone can see the n then? I've been reading it as laces for years. Why woukd an octopus need a lance anyway?

Fizzy cola lances! Lances are thicker and more rigid than laces.

Glad it's not just me :) I have to say when I was eating them I did think these aren't very thin or flexible laces but I can't say I gave it much thought.
