Newborn sleeping loads- worried

8 days old. Temp fine, feeding fine, nappies fine, but I doubt she's been awake for more than 30 minutes total all day. Should I be worried?

What's her breathing like? Can you wake her to feed after 3 hours? X

I would phone the midwives and ask their advice.

3in4years breathing seems normal, bit noisy at times- snuffly/ growly but not all the time. She's waking to feed every 2-3 hours but falling asleep at the breast very quickly but still suckling effectively.

I would say if she's feeding and has wet nappies she's probably just growing. Watch out for rapid breathing or if she's too tired to feed at all. These were the signs that led to mine being hospitalised. But do call the midwives if you're worried.

Newborns sleep for something like 22 hours out of 24. But if you're worried ask HV/GP/OOH.

Mine were asleep pretty much all the time at that age. As long as she's feeding and weeing, she sounds perfectly normal.

My first DD was like this. I used to have to wake her up to feed her. Second one was the polar opposite! I always say if I’d had the second one first I’d have stopped at one.
