Been Invited to a friends for dinner with a bunch of other folk. 1.5hrs away and I can't drink as im pregnant. I'm also really tired.
My husband will go without me but I feel bad and I don't have anything to do staying home. I want to go but I'm tired!
If he goes alone he will stay over and if i go I will drive so I get my own bed at night.

Mumsnet, you decide!

Buy chocolate, stay in, watch The Crown (again)

BreakYourselfAgainstMyStones · 26/01/2019 15:23

Nah, fuck that. He can go, chill out and stay over, you get the TV and bed to yourself the whole night. Win win.

Whisky2014 · 26/01/2019 15:25

Lol Yeh that's where I am at but I do feel bad as it's rare to meet up with these friends. I haven't seen the crown so you've now given me something to do!
I just feel bad :/

3 hours driving when you are tired and pregnant?

And you say you want to go?

I wouldn't go. Tired and driving for 3 hours is not a good combination.

LizzieSiddal · 26/01/2019 15:28

So it’s 1.5 hours driving thee and back? No, I wouldn’t be going if I was tired. Stay at home and relax.

Whisky2014 · 26/01/2019 15:28

Well I guess husband could drive us there and I could drive back

Get some chocolate, feet up, good box set, cuppa. Sorted!

redcaryellowcar · 26/01/2019 15:29

I vote go, you'll want to go when baby arrives and logistics get even more complex!

gottachangethename1 · 26/01/2019 15:31

An evening to myself, eat what I like, watch whatever I want. Send Dh on his own.

imanoldbattleaxe · 26/01/2019 15:31

Husband drives there, you drive back. If you get too tired, do you have the option of staying over? Take an over night bag just in case!

ChrissyHynde · 26/01/2019 15:37

I came across this yesterday- JOMO Joy Of Missing Out. Don't go and enjoy the sense if doing nothing

OrdinaryGirl · 26/01/2019 16:01

Stay in and enjoy the peace and quiet while you can.

Whisky2014 · 27/01/2019 10:57

I did go! Was a fun night. Got home at 2am and I'm knackered so long lie for me!

7 votes to 2 in favour of staying in... not sure you needed to poll us.... 😏

Glad you had a good time though.

Whisky2014 · 27/01/2019 19:36
