My friends forgot my birthday

It was last Monday. I don't use FB and I know a lot of people rely on that now, but we've been friends for 35 years ffs. Even a day or two out would be fine but they've obviously completely forgotten.

I was feeling a little sad but today I am cross.

Why are you cross? I don’t suppose they’ve done it deliberately.

I don’t think any friend has ever remembered my birthday! If DH forgot I’d be a bit pissed off...

Do you have a tradition of remembering and celebrating each others birthdays?

I wouldn’t expect people to remember my birthday tbh.

I have a memory like a sieve for things like this and I’m not a birthday person so could easily end up forgetting someone’s birthday!

My dad forgot mine, it was also last Monday so happy birthday, birthday twin!

I know how your feel as the same thing happened to me. I wasn't expecting any cards/presents but a text saying have a lovely day would have been nice.

I manage to remember their birthdays by putting it in my diary, so I am not sure how people find it so hard to remember.

You won’t get any sympathy on here OP. On MN you are completely unreasonable to expect anyone to remember or give a damn about your birthday after your turn 18.

Meanwhile in real life, I would be hurt and disappointed by that. Your friends are lousy.

I'd be upset too if they were close friends OP.

Belated Happy Birthday .

Ahh happy belated birthday op! My birthday was 'forgotten' this week too... lots of fb 'friends' but my birthday isn't visible on there, not one of them remembered!

My friend isn't on Facebook and I remember her birthday. I'd be cross and upset too, some people on here are just strange and if they are happy to be treated like shit then that says more about them than it does you.
