It's sore and really very red, I just wanted to be rid of my furry lip friend 😫 how can I calm the pain and redness? Going for a meal for my friends birthday!

Nothing you can do, it will take a couple days to calm down, hopefully you haven’t burned the skin to severely, because it can permanently scar.

God I hope not. Sitting with a cold flannel on it - I know best thing is running Cold water but my face doesn't fit under the tap, I've got a bowl with iced water next to me though. Catching up of Cleaning Up whilst I feel sorry for myself. Blush

do you have sudocream? a thick layer for an hour or so may calm it down

SarahBraverman · 26/01/2019 15:41

Try some aloe Vera if you have it? It's very gentle on skin.

WatcherintheRye · 26/01/2019 16:02

I would second sudocrem. It says it's for burns, among lots of other uses, and I swear by it for any skin blemishes/soreness/redness. It will have calmed down by tonight anyway, and although you might think it's like a beacon, the likelihood is that no-one else
will notice! Enjoy your evening, op. Smile

I did that left it on longer than I should, next day had red scab like marks on top lip. Cleared up after a week or so!
