Boring but ... Where to store a suitcase?!

Mine is a fabric one so has been squished into the loft. DH has a plastic one which doesn't fit through the loft hatch.

We don't have a garage, or a spare room. It doesn't fit in the airing cupboard or under the bed. He can't get rid of it.

I want it out of our bedroom! Any ideas?!

It used to be kept inside our huge wardrobe but we had to get a smaller wardrobe and it doesn't fit inside it or on top of it...

Why can't he get rid of it?

fussychica · 26/01/2019 15:11

Would it fit under the bed if you stored it open rather than closed or does your bed base go to the floor?

torthecatlady · 26/01/2019 15:12

Behind a sofa?

Ours are kept on top of a wardrobe (with smaller bags and travel accessories inside).

BirthdayKake · 26/01/2019 15:18

Bed base goes to the floor (it has drawers)

Just tried behind the sofa and it was a tiny bit too big damn it!

He won't get rid cos he's annoying but tbf we do need it for Butlins later this year Blush

I could put it in the shed I suppose. My air hostess friend just pointed out that aeroplane holds get much colder...

Maybe wrap it in bin bags if you're storing it in the shed?

Holidayshopping · 26/01/2019 15:24

I would sell it and buy something I could fit in the loft.

LillyBugg · 26/01/2019 15:36

I really think he needs to get rid and buy one that can be stored. It's not practical for the storage you have. It makes no sense!

Youngandfree · 26/01/2019 15:39

Yes just pop it in a bin bag or two and put it in the shed

cptartapp · 26/01/2019 15:54

The boot of your car as a last resort.

BarbaraofSevillle · 26/01/2019 18:33

Can he keep it at a relative or friends house or even at work?

Angie169 · 27/01/2019 11:56

Take the stuff out of your beds draws and put stuff in the suitcase then put suite case in the space where stuff was.

brick15 · 27/01/2019 12:02

Cover it with something and use it in a room as a kind of shelf or table

ShatnersBassoon · 27/01/2019 12:05

Definitely in the shed if you have one. Why wouldn't you?!

Greycat11 · 27/01/2019 12:07

If you have any floor length curtains behind one of them as a temporary measure. Behind the sofa if not right against wall maybe.

ARandomPoster · 27/01/2019 12:41

We stack the dcs' on top of their wardrobes.

Matrioska suitcase game here and the big one under the bed
