Average time on Facebook...

Found this the other day, where it shows you the average time spent on FB (under settings and privacy)
I was shocked at how high mine was, I mindlessly go onto it of an evening with the t.v. on in the background.
I've been more conscious of it, and got it down significantly.

I was the same so limited it to 15 mins recently. Hate to think of how much time I waste away on sm

Well done!
I'm trying to break the habit more. As you say, such a waste of time...

I didn’t know Facebook did it, but my tablet and phone do. I’ve set limits on both and on my tablet have done “downtime” where all apps are restricted. You can override it but I find it just gives me that reminder.
It’s scary how much time you lose on it. I see the number of hours and generally I have gained nothing from all that time!

How do you do this ? Went into settings and privacy and then what?

InternetRandomer · 26/01/2019 07:42

It’s settings menu then screen time.

midlifecrisis2018 · 26/01/2019 07:43

Which phones let you do this?

thenewaveragebear1983 · 26/01/2019 07:43

Yes mine is scary. If you have an iPhone you go into settings and I think it's under screen time. To be fair it counts things like Spotify and my running tracker, but it's mostly mumsnet.

LoudestRoar · 26/01/2019 07:55

I found mine under privacy and settings on my Facebook mobile app.

I am shocked at the amount of time I spend on Mumsnet, it can really be addictive. Blush. I’m working today, can choose my own hours so I planned an early start at 8.30. I’ve been awake since 6.30, stuck a wash on, made coffee & came back to bed to Mumsnet, now thinking of getting up. A complete waste of an hour, and can only blame myself.
