Swimming nappies - HELP!

Very trivial but I haven’t taken DS swimming for months, we’re going in the morning and I don’t know what size swim nappy I should buy?! He’s 17 months, looks about the same height and weight as all other babies his age and wears size 5 regular nappies but could still fit in size 4. Do you size down for swim nappies? Huggies only do 3-4 or 5-6, 4-5 would be ideal! Can only afford one pack because I’m STILL waiting for bloody payday

I'd probably go 3-4. My DD is in size 5 normal nappies and has been for ages but has only just started fitting better in 5-6 swim nappies.

Thankyou!

Do you have a happy nappy or similar to go over the swim nappy to avoid any solids leaking into the pool? My understanding is that you should.

Also, my DD is 7 months and a 3-4 swim nappy, so I'd worry it could be too small? Then again, the harder sizes do cover a huge range.

My baby is a little older and he's in size 5 nappies and 5-6 swim nappies.
