Best and worst household item you have bought

For me the best has to be my Neato robot vac. I love that it takes me two minutes to clear the floor before I take the dog out and come back to every floor crumb and dust free with a simple tap on my phone. The most pointless has to be the Karcher window vac, I don't clean windows often enough to make it worthwhile and tbh I can clean them just as well without it and do because I forget to charge it up

There are a few IP threads already!

Given we've got almost equal numbers of loved and hated the dyson cordless - are these different models or all the same?!

One of the most useful is a toothpaste tube squeezer, it's a bit like a sort of key with a slit in it and a base - I use it for tomato puree.

Best would be the dishwasher ( our first white goods item and I think it saved our marriage in the early days) second the tumble dryer- which along with the light weight Dyson stick vacuum let me still keep up with house work with a long term illness. The worst thing - well I bought a reusable metal coffee pod- ( for Nespresso) expensive, but I thought it would be more environmentally friendly. Well it’s only any use if you have several and don’t mind fiddling, as it’s far too hot once used, to tip out and reuse, and I can never get a drinkable brew! I bought a window sqeagy forgetting that it would be useless as we have small window panes! I don’t use my steam cleaner much either!

Love my steam mop and steam generator iron.
Love Henry.

Had Shark, Dyson, GTech pet hoovers, none of them can hold a candle to Henry. OK so they are manoeuvrable but they don't sodding well suck!

Quite fond of my washer drier.

Really can't see the point of Instant Pot, Thermomix or similar.

Absolutely adore my hot water dispenser that sits on my bedside table. Coffee before I even get out of bed.

Best is dishwasher hands down. If it broke I'd walk straight out the door and buy another one. I wouldn't even break my stride.

Also my Lakeland heated clothes airer. Combined with a second hand dehumidifier I couldn't get through the winter without it.

I like my dyson hand held but I can see why people don't. For me it's just the ease of being able to do a quick 30 second whip round after meals and during an ad break rather than the whole "doing the hoovering" twice a week which used to entail dragging the hoover out from under the stairs, getting the cord out, plugging in, lugging it from room to room... It's not the greatest hoover of all time though.

Would looove a robot lawnmower. We went to a holiday house with one once, it was flipping fantastic. Mega bucks though.
