Can't just wear ankle boots every day. I need a new wardrobe and shoes are a good place to start. Also capsule wardrobe ideas.

Help.

Ankle boots Blush I also have a lovely pair of brogues a bit like this www.office.co.uk/view/product/office_catalog/2,30/3219445008040?gclid=Cj0KCQiA4aXiBRCRARIsAMBZGz8I_OB7ZSraE-57OtSl0V5NY-l9fkhBzhfxedlfKefToCDNsyXVl7QaAnneEALw_wcB

Some of the younger teachers walk round all day in stilettos, don’t know how they do it!

PurpleDaisies · 24/01/2019 22:59

Doc Martens
Clarks shoes...these are my favourites

Ankle boots!

C0untDucku1a · 24/01/2019 23:01

I used to wear court shoes.

ReaganSomerset · 24/01/2019 23:02

Oh, anything from ballet pumps to kitten-heeled shoes.

SweetbutAPsycho · 24/01/2019 23:05

Plain kitten heels, ankle boots or dolly shoes

leccybill · 24/01/2019 23:07

Clarks Flats, good old Tesco brogues. Smart flat ankle boots!

StillMedusa · 24/01/2019 23:31

Ankle boots Grin I love Josef Seibel boots.. they are the comfiest boots and shoes ever for being on my feet in school all day!

Peepingsnowdrops · 24/01/2019 23:34

Most days m&s footglove (with wedge heel) some days smart sketcher type shoes and some days just flat loader shoe.

BringOnTheScience · 24/01/2019 23:46

Footglove or Clarks ankle boots and courts.
Comfort first. Black goes with everything.

Teacher capsule wardrobe... which Key Stage(s)?

Justgivemeasoddingname · 25/01/2019 18:04

Ha Ha!! I only have one pair of ankle boots and they only go with jeggings....it's getting a bit repetitive.
Key stages are infants and academy so all ages, I also do stuff outdoors so need to be warm as well as sensible plus comfortable! Shoes just say bare feet and I just get cold......Confused

Brogues in winter. They go with almost anything. I'm in HE so adult students.

IamMummyhearmeROAR · 25/01/2019 22:16

I wear black sketchers Go Walk. At 48 I find being an infant teacher increasingly hard on my body. Since I ditched the boots and ballet flats for these I’ve literally got a spring in my step. Work clothes for me are now about ease of movement and comfort

Holidayshopping · 25/01/2019 22:18

Docs or Fly London boots.

rosy71 · 25/01/2019 22:24

Ankle boots or flat slip ons. Trainers when it's PE.

SagelyNodding · 25/01/2019 22:31

Ankle boots! Chelsea boot style or timberland style! I also have some long black snow boots which look reasonably smart, so when it's freezing I wear them over black jeans. Currently coveting Doc Martens too, but need to be sensible with money. Other teachers wear brogues, DM shoes, ballet flats, court shoes... My 'best' teacherly shoes are 3€ (sale) primark tan suede brogues which look great with everything.
In France the dress code is pretty much anything goes Smile

leccybill · 25/01/2019 23:18

I pretty much wear a dress, thick black tights, ankle boots and black cardi all year round. Replace cardi for blazer if parents evening or visitors in.
Warm coat with hood for playground duty.
Remove tights in summer.
Comfort and warmth all the way!

TarquinGyrfalcon · 25/01/2019 23:23

Josef Sieben, Doc Martens (boots - ankle or tall) or Fitflop (shoe or sandal styles)
