Given the wrong weight of my newborn baby

My baby was born a few days ago and I was told in theatre that he was 7lb 8 oz. however my DH took a photo of our baby on the scales which reads 3.410kg. I've just done a conversion and it comes out as 7lb 5oz.

Do you think it's just a mistake or do they 'allow' for other weight?

3.410kg is 7lb 8oz Smile. I think you’ve converted and got 7.5lb which isn’t 7lb 5oz but 7 and a half pounds (roughly!).

I don’t know if I’ve explained that well at all!

No it is 7lb 8 when you use a converter.

I suspect you’ve done it on google and it’s come out at 7.5pounds which is 7 and a half pounds. There’s 16oz in a pound so half of 16 is 8. So 7lb 8oz

They are right. You have worked it out to 7.5lbs which is not the same as 7 lbs 5 ozs.
