Is victoria Beckham turning into a parody of herself

Just saw VB on Daily mail looking ridiculous as usual in NYC wearing a black polo and the usual black sunglasses
Think unsmiley, oversized clothes and huge high heels . I mean its same old same old. Every photo is virtually the same look. Its just so boring and predictable and samey. How is she this unhappy looking woman a style icon ( manufactured I Know !) Its just ridiculous that this is who / what stylish women are supposed to aspire to

I think she's a beaut. Something I'd like to know is how comes her skin went from what it looks like in pic 1

to what it looks like in pic 2?

I don't believe it happened as a result of eating salmon everyday as recommended by Doc. Whats her secret and why she not sharing it?

She’s beginning to resemble Karl Lagerfeld. I’m not being mean, it’s the giant shades or something...

Radyward · 24/01/2019 22:19

Karl lagerfield she is definately rocking !! All she needs is the grey haired pony tail ( seriously)

I don't think she's a style icon though, except in her own fantasies!

Like, the whole 'fashion' thing is just a vanity project isn't it. The 'business' round at a massive loss.

To me her outfits look contrived and awkward. I believe she's supposed to be a really lovely woman though.

BlancheM · 24/01/2019 22:31

Love her. She's a clever woman, tongue firmly in her cheek and very self aware.

PP's photos are taken in completely different lighting. Give your local cosmetic clinic a call and get some treatment plan advice? You can get good results with non invasive procedures quite cheaply these days.

EalingBroadway · 24/01/2019 22:31

Strawberry: re: VB skin: lighting, better foundation/tinted moisturiser, demrabrasion, & a good dermatologist/skin treatments (laser etc).

Good skin can generally be bought hence the glow of the Made in Chelsea set, models and wealthy women in the know.

EalingBroadway · 24/01/2019 22:33

Agree, with Blanche she's a clever and likeable woman.

JoyceDivision · 24/01/2019 22:35

She reminds me of the cartoon sketch in the mail.on Sunday magazine
... You magazine?

Is it Mimi or something like that?Grin

Lottapianos · 24/01/2019 22:38

'I mean its same old same old. '

What, all the tedious moaning about her being too thin, too serious and wearing too high heels?

StrawberryBlondeRed · 24/01/2019 22:41

Thanks Blanche but I have no need to call cosmetic clinics or treatment plans because my skin is pretty much flawless. I'm just curious to know about VB skin transformation because whatever she has had done the results are pretty dramatic.

MarjorieFrangipani · 24/01/2019 22:43

When she guest presented on the Big Breakfast years ago she was quick witted, funny and entertaining. I was a bit surprised, I really liked her, she seemed to have a great personality. ^
^
I always think of that when she appears sullen or is knocked by the many negative comments about her. It's a shame that side of her isn't seen more.

feelingverylazytoday · 24/01/2019 22:43

She's not my cup of tea at all, but she can dress however she wants. If she feels good thats all that matters . No OP she hasn't turned into a parody, just found a style that she likes and is sticking to it.

BlancheM · 24/01/2019 22:46

Thought as much strawberry 😂 just having a dig weren't you love. Dermaplaning, dermaroller facials, skin resurfacing peels, retinol and acids are probably what she has done /uses and why not.

Namechangedforthis79 · 24/01/2019 22:48

I bet she's just as jealous of you as you are of her!

I just wish she'd look a bit more relaxed and happier in some of her pictures
She probably has a great life and is happy with her lot, why not show it.

TulipsInbloom1 · 24/01/2019 22:52

The only bugbear I have with VB is that she pulls the exact same head bob pose on every photograph. Even relaxed ones with her dc. Ffs just stand normally when you are working!

Everything else about her - well I don't know her so couldn't say. She appears to be very family orientated and committed to keeping the marriage and family together regardless of how many affairs DB has. And she is either very good at business or very good at making long standing trusted relationships with those who can support her through business.

AtrociousCircumstance · 24/01/2019 22:54

Maybe it was her lack of ‘pretty much flawless’ skin which motivated her to work her arse off, earn millions and create a fashion empire?

Nettletheelf · 24/01/2019 23:01

Hahaha at the ‘fashion empire’. As a PP said, a vanity project. Didn’t she nick Roland Mouret’s design team? I doubt that she could cut a pattern or inset a sleeve herself.

I don’t have much of an opinion on her, bar finding it utterly bizarre that anybody would choose to keep publicising themselves when they have all the money in the world and don’t need the publicity. Makes me wonder why they can’t just enjoy privacy. They force their children into the limelight too. Why?

Sparklingbrook · 24/01/2019 23:04

I find that unless you read the Daily Mail she pretty much doesn't exist. They are obsessed with her and the eldest son for some reason.

greendale17 · 24/01/2019 23:07

Style icon? Likeable?

Ha don’t make me laugh

fancynancyclancy · 24/01/2019 23:11

I’ve seen her in real life a few times, she was very aware she was been “watched” so never looked natural or relaxed if that makes sense. It’s must be awful to have that pressure.

Nettletheelf · 24/01/2019 23:14

She invited that pressure though, and continues to do so. It’s unfathomable to me.

Expression · 24/01/2019 23:16

She has her reasons to stay in her marriage, I suspect she would be in a better place a few years post divorce.

ssd · 24/01/2019 23:16

I guess it must be hard to relax if you are constantly on show

Agree with sb though , the daily mail's obsession with Brooklyn is stalker ish , he looks pretty ordinary and they are determined to make him something else
