Is this chicken pox? Just appeared while DD's been at school. She doesn't seem unwell and is not scratching.

Yes it is. Calpol, piriton and that poxclin foam stuff are your friends. Mine all had spots in their mouths and sore throats so lots of ice cream was consumed!

Dh has had chicken pox twice, once as a child and then again as an adult and was absolutely covered in them like PP's 6 year old.

I am immune (tested as part of something else) I have never had a cold sore either.

Both our children had about 12 -25 spots over their entire bodies. No clusters like you usually see. It is just a mild case.

They were very well until about day 3 Sad so look out for a crappy weekend, stock up on treats now for all concerned.

Would you say my DD probably has a mild case?

It looks that way as they arent clustered. Similar to my younger child. Day 3 was when all the spots had come out by.

I think tomorrow could be the peak fingers crossed. My ds was a bit ill on day 3 but recovered very quickly, running about in the garden on day 4.

Frazzled2207 · 25/01/2019 15:58

At least it doesn't look too bad at the moment. One my sons had similar- probably 40m spots max. Other son (the ill one) had hundreds.

Frazzled2207 · 25/01/2019 15:58

40 not 40m!
