Torn frenulum

Ds (17 months) fell and tore his frenulum yesterday with his dummy in his mouth. Quite a bit of blood but settled quickly.

When I’ve looked this morning there’s a large dangling flap of skin. He’s bumped the outside of his mouth gently with a toy and it’s started bleeding again. Does this need to be seen by the gp?

Older ds tore his by falling but his was much thinner. Ds2s is very thick and was very low down.

Not sure what the go would be able to do though? Has anyone else’s little one torn a thick lip lie? What happens to the dangling tie?

My son did the same but he was much older (7 or 8) I just kept an eye on it and it healed itself. The flap just shrank over a few days.

No help, but I was confused about which frenelum you meant: www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/mens-health/what-should-i-do-if-my-penis-is-torn/ ConfusedGrin Didn’t know what dummy had to do with that!
