Eczema herpeticum or cold

Hii everyone
I’m here to discuss about my son.
He’s having fever since last two days I’ve been giving him calpol. I went to the gp and doc said he got some cold so just continue with calpol until he gets better.
Now I’m confused because he has got eczema and unfortunately it got infected few months back (eczema herpeticum) it was horrible and my lo was so in bad condition.
Now as he’s having fever i just noticed two blisters today one on his face and one on his ear. I’m concerned about it that is it just cold or the herpeticum is showing up again.
Please share your thoughts as I’m getting alot worried .

He's probably run down with the cold which has flared up the eczema, or his body is reacting to the virus. It sounds as though what he has is related to cold sores which are also common with a cold & being run down.

Eczema is the kind of thing that comes back often so I would guess you haven't seen the end of it. Do you have any ointment you used to treat it last time? Otherwise I'd go back to the doctor.
