Secret SIM card?!

Hi guys!

So basically, me and my partner had an awful argument last night, and usually in the past when we've argued he's messaged a couple of other girls on Instagram. But I thought he'd changed and he's said he's not like that anymore, but basically I've found a SIM card and a pin so he can take his other one out. It was never there before and I wasn't even aware he still had his old SIM card! Am I being unreasonable to think he's got a secret SIM card to text other girls? I'm such a paranoid fucking mess half the time it's a joke 😶

I just need advice as I'm at a massive loss!

I'm afraid it would seem likely op especially as he has done it before Sad

HumptyNumptyNooNoo · 23/01/2019 20:41

If he has form for this, I would expect that you have hit the nail on the head.

rebeccaxxxxx · 23/01/2019 20:49

I'm wounded to even think he would do this I've given everything up to be with him 😔

Well that was silly but you know he's always going to be a dick so that's your choice if you stay. Why keep taking him back ?

itsbritneybiatches · 23/01/2019 20:58

Get your own secret sim and a fake Instagram and message him.
You will know either way then?

rebeccaxxxxx · 23/01/2019 22:56

I stay because I'm crazy about him so I suppose in a way it's my own fault 😔 I'm a sucker for words that make me feel good!

I guess I could try the fake account thing!

What have you given up to be with him?

BaconPringles · 23/01/2019 23:05

The SIM card changes nothing but the number used for texting phone calls and WhatsApp. It doesn’t change social media.

Think there’s a bigger problem than you realise here OP

PixieDust92 · 23/01/2019 23:06

Why don't you cut up the sim and see what he says?

Ozziewozzie · 23/01/2019 23:15

I think you need to find out for certain and go from there. The not knowing is making you question yourself which is awful for you.
Remind yourself that you KNOW for sure he’s done it before, and so you being suspicious of the sim is understandable. I personally would take matters into my own hands and find out by either placing the sim in a phone, or setting up a new account. Unless you can access his account ( if he has one) Try not to let him know your suspicious in case it gives him the chance to delete or hide stuff.
Maybe he’s innocent, but personally, if I had previous, I wouldn’t mind being checked. I would mind however if I had something to hide.

Hotpinkangel19 · 23/01/2019 23:30

I'd check the 'secret sim' it's the only way to get the answers

blessedmummyov5 · 24/01/2019 00:11

Hide said secret sim n watch him squirm when he realises it's gone

MargueritaPink · 24/01/2019 00:15

Yes all messages sent on a phone stay there until deleted. Swapping the SIM card doesn't change anything on the phone.

What have you given up to be with him?

I've moved to a different city to be with him, I'd given up a home, friends and family who said it was a bad idea to move and doubted us greatly. Al because for me it was genuine love!

He never leaves his phone so I can't check it he's so sly 😩 so I've taken the SIM card, hid it and I keep putting it into my phone to see if any messages come through. It's just got me so on edge as a couple of days ago this SIM card wasn't there until we had an argument about him being all friendly with a girl who openly admitted she wanted a relationship with him - this was said whilst we were together! So naturally I got annoyed!

I thought a sim could change social media when logging in. For example, when you log in it asks often for mobile number or email address. Op dh could have accounts set up for secret sim. In between times, he just logs out and deletes the app.
I’ve been with one of these, take it from me. He would do it this way so that if things would arise, he’d show me that he didn’t have app on his phone and no relevant accounts associated with the more constant number.

I hope I explained that well. Hmm

Ozziewozzie · 24/01/2019 12:08

How about when he’s in the shower and his phone is in charge.
Or pretend you lose your phone during the day, and then whikst sat next to him later in the evening (once things are calmer and he’s relaxed a bit) suddenly say, ‘ oh my god I totally forgot, I was meant to meet xxxxxx today and it totally slipped my mind. I should phone them. Can I use your phone quickly love? ‘
See his reaction. Then whikst using his phone, pretend to have rubbish reception and walk away so you can have a quick snoop.
If he doesn’t let you or follows you, he’s as guilty as anything. That should be enough proof.

rebeccaxxxxx · 24/01/2019 12:19

I've taken the SIM card so I'm going to be really sly and try accessing an Instagram or Facebook account that may be associated with the number. There's not a chance he'd let me on his phone he's constantly on it! Even when he's in bed he sleeps with it underneath his pillow! He's extremely sly and clever at covering things up.

He's got a history of cheating on his ex girlfriend, which he was completely open about when we first got together, but he said he's changed since then because he fell instantly for me blah blah blah.

My head is working a hundred miles an hour I literally don't even know if I should mention I found it or just play it sly and keep the SIM card see if I can do some digging

You know you should just dump him and move back to your friends and family don't you?
