Does anyone know what a vvv is?

DD2 is having a few friends over for her birthday at the weekend and left me a list of some things she wanted me to buy. The list said:

Starburst
Sour sweets
Party vvv things
Icing sugar

It took me ages to work out what the vvv things were but I did in the end, does anyone else know what she meant?

Well, in the Netherlands the VVV used to be the local tourist information offices. But I doubt your DD wants one of those for her birthday...!

She will be 12 so I don't know why she didn't just write down what they are called, or indeed why she wants them at all.

It was party blowers as a couple of people said, because that is the noise they make when you blow them [hmmm]. They don't appear to be too popular these days because it took me 4 shops to find some.

I stopped reading that Boswell thread after 1 page, did it go on for long then?
