How to make your loo smell nicer!

In the first trimester and spending more time with my head in the loo than is pleasant.

I clean it reqularly (steriliser and bleach cleaning) but can’t seem to make it smell any better.

Have a young son who keeps missing so I’m literally washing it most days!

How do you make it smell better and be clean please! I’m currently using bleach, toilet duck wipe things, round the loo anti bac wipes and those disks you put in the tank.

Please help because morning sickness is bad enough without fresh bouts being caused by loo smell.

You've probably got a hyper sensitive nose due to your pregnancy. When I was pregnant I was constantly scrubbing the toilet because I thought it smelt terrible but no one else could smell a think.

Having said all that, I'd ditch all that stuff. If your son misses the toilet, maybe there is a build up of dried urine around the base where the toilet meets the floor. After you have cleaned it, pour bicarbonate of soda on it overnight and hoover off in the morning, it works like magic.

And for the rest of it I'd wash with hot soapy water and disinfectant round the seat and the outside, a put a squirt of toilet cleaner down it regularly and scrub the inside.

After you have bleached, use a toilet duck, like the pine fragrance and leave it in the bowl, make sure you are thoroughly cleaning the floor around the loo and right under the bowl

Aesops Poo Drops! Botanical loo deodoriser (so not overpowering) which effectively neutralises disagreeable smells with notes of tangerine/manderine peel and yland ylang. We had 12 staying over Christmas for over a week - worked a treat.
