Living room, grey, deep navy and ochre?

My walls and woodwork are grey.

I have some ochre pillows.

I've seen some nice deep navy curtains and a rug. Would that work?

It would be too dark for me, I'd be looking for something predominantly cream for curtains probably with a patterned rug including ochre (I have a few of those)!

I have that colour scheme. What colour are your sofas?
I’m not sure that the navy rug would work, but navy curtains and throw, and a couple of prints on the walls to tie in with the scheme. I have navy sofas and dark wood furniture.

My couch is brown leather. No changing that, 2nd hand job.

I already have grey and ochre. I thought a bit of navy in there would be nice.
The grey on the walls is very light so it's not a dark room

Cream curtains wouldn't last 2 mins in this house 😂

I have navy walls, dark grey sofa and a mustard chair so sort of similar! It's dark but lovely in my opinion!

Mulberryandthyme · 25/01/2019 17:28

I'd like that combination. Which way does the room face? Is it a sunlit room?

SmellTheGlove · 26/01/2019 20:06

It faces east, so sun in the morning but then none! It is dark but always admired! There are white shutters and woodwork so that brightens it up a bit I guess. The back of our house is much brighter and I actually have that mostly white - but I'm about to do our west facing spare room in charcoal grey (walls) and accents of blush pink and ochre!. I think dark colours look great.

I think it sounds nice. I like dark and cosy just as much as I like bright and minimal. I can never make my mind up which I prefer Grin

Sounds lovely. I have dark blue walls, grey sofa with some ochre cushions. It's rich not dark, far better than beige and boring.

Those colours would work (whether you mean red ochre or yellow ochre) - sounds like the sort of colours used for HMS Victory's refurb a few years ago.
