I am being induced - nothing is happening

...and I can’t sleep either!

I’m 35+6 but have had reduced growth and low fluid round baby so it has been deemed safer to get baby out! My DS was born at 32 weeks (waters just went) it was a relatively quick labour.
Have also had a previous stillbirth with induction so thought this one might be quite quick!

The gel went in at 20:20. DH has gone home. I’m also hungry.

Good luck. Try to rest now, you'll need your energy later. Sods law everything will start happening just when you have finally fallen asleep.

RogueV · 23/01/2019 03:10

Well you are right I have woken up to some pains in my arse I guess this is happening now!

Good luck OP. Try and rest while you can.

I was induced with DC3. Nothing happened for hours. Then when I tried to have an afternoon kip it started. Then went quite quickly after that. He was born within a few hours of me starting to notice the contractions.

Hope you don't have to wait too much longer.

I am in the delivery suite. Contractions are very irregular looks like it’s the drip next. Sad

Mair sure you get some pain relief before the drip is put in place (I didn't Confused). Good luck!

How are u OO?

RogueV · 23/01/2019 19:05

Baby RogueV was born at 13:01 this afternooon. We are totally in love.

I had sporadic contractions which ramped up all of a sudden. My word the pain was horrendous - I have never felt anything like it (waited for anaesthetist to administer epidural but they were all held up in theatre).

Anyway next thing you know I felt like pushing i was 8cm dilated and out she came.

Still feels mega surreal!

Important thing is baby doing well and has avoided SCBU so far.. Smile

Congratulations! I was induced then drip then c-section & baby was born at 36 weeks. With the help of a 'hot cot', we avoided SCBU & went home after 3 days. What weight is baby? Mine was 5lb 14oz so can only imagine how heavy if I had gone full term!

Stupomax · 23/01/2019 19:41

Enjoy your baby girl :-)

katienana · 23/01/2019 19:44

Congratulations! I was induced and contractions went from nothing to horrendous and no break in a matter of minutes. It was very quick though only 30 minutes of full blown labour.
Hope you have a good night! X
