Anything I can only get in London for a teenage boy please? Not souvenirs but because I am on work trip before DS birthday. He can't think of anything he wants, but likes things that are 'rare' so I thought it would be nice to get something special.

And not available online either?

JustanotherCHRISTMASuser01 · 22/01/2019 16:33

are there any brands he's into which don't have a store near you? might be available online but not easily he might like the surprise of something from a brand with a store in London but not near you?

VanillaSauce · 22/01/2019 16:36

Something from the M&M store or another one of those theme type shops

powkin · 22/01/2019 16:36

If he can't think of anything he wants then why not wait until he has thought of something? No point buying something he probably won't like and wasting money.

doritad · 22/01/2019 16:38

Something from Supreme

bestbefore · 22/01/2019 16:38

What's the budget???

Eve · 22/01/2019 17:08

My DS would like posters from Tate modern, anything from Phonica records and some laude macaroons!

Eve · 22/01/2019 17:09

Laduree!!

SinceYouAskMe · 22/01/2019 17:12

Something from Forbidden Planet, or from one of the shops that sells American sweets (Kingdom of Sweets).

Fusioluxe · 22/01/2019 17:16

Something with a Harrods’ logo?

GetUpAgain · 23/01/2019 10:32

Thank you, sorry - budget around 20 or 30, he will have cash as 'main present' this is just to get him a nice surprise. Tate Modern gift shop is a great idea. And so is Supreme if I win the lottery before then Grin.

forbidden planet

TellMeItsNotTrue · 23/01/2019 12:00

If you go to the M&M shop in Leicester Square you can get his name or whatever you want printed on to M&Ms, you can choose up to 4 different things which includes some clipart and any text, and you choose what colours of M&Ms you want so you could do his favourite colours, football team colours etc

That's pretty unique as I think it's the only place that does it in the UK, you can order online but only in big quantities (around £80 minimum I think it was online when I was looking for wedding favours for a friend)

amusedbush · 23/01/2019 13:26

The only thing I can think of is a PB&J doughnut from Crosstown, which probably speaks volumes about me and my priorities Grin

Forbidden Planet isn't just in London!

Forbidden planet - my teen loved in it there. He brought an overwatch hoodie. The also have a great graphic novel section downstairs.
Something from the M&M store in Leicester Square?
Take a look in Hamleys. Son 2 brought a drone at Christmas and it’s still going. Which is unusual for drones

dinkystinky · 23/01/2019 13:32

Forbidden planet do limited edition comics/items you cant get on line or up in Edinburgh

Camden Market stores - band t-shirts, limited edition photos

Not exclusive to London but wool hats with lights/headphones in very popular with my nearly 13 year old...
