Pepperoni pizza 1 day out of date - safe?

If it passes the sniff test, am I right thinking it'd be perfectly fine to eat? Use by is yesterday, I forgot about it. Harassed and hungry now and want a fast solution!

I sometimes think pepperoni can taste off even before it goes out of date so I don't think I could eat it if it WAS out of date. I love pepperoni pizza but find the chilled ones seem to go off quicker than they should.
