Films on catch up

I can only ever find films that have been on on BBC iPlayer.
Looked recently for some films that were on on itv and 4od and they don't seem to have them on there.
Is it just iPlayer who does the films?? Why?? I really wanted to watch them

TV companies pay for the content that they show. Depending on the agreement that they have with the company they bought it from, they may have bought the right to show the film 'live', but not have bought the right to store it and show it 'on demand.' It all comes down to money.
