Child anxiety about school. Relentless :(

We are dealing with anxiety with dd.
School have been amazing and we are making progress, albeit slowly, but I am so exhausted.
The evening is full of fears about the next day.
I don't even know why I am posting. Dh is out.

I had exactly the same with my DS he is now in year two and we still have the same stress in the morning. It does get a little easier (or maybe I'm just more used to it).

Thank you for replying. Mine is in y7 and it is getting worse, not better. I have had to dress her to ensure we get her there, and the school have had to come and get her. She doesn't attend all of her lessons.
She is anxious of so much and it is breaking my heart.

How old is she? Can she articulate what her worries are?

SexNotJenga · 21/01/2019 21:57

When did it start?

EustaciaVye · 21/01/2019 22:06

She is 12. Triggered by a difficult year and the transition to secondary but she has always been anxious.

She is seeing a therapist.

And whe worries about a lot of general things, but also some very specific things as well. The school have given access to student support and special card to leave lessons etc but there are certain lessons she is to scared to attend. And she is scared to attend school on those days.
