Radio breakfast show?

As in who do you listen to on the radio between 7am-9am?

I tried to like Zoe Ball, I really did. I realised this morning on the way to work that I was in a bad mood made worse by the inanity, horrible music choices and Zoe's odd in-takes of breath (honestly, once you notice it you can never unnotice it)

Any recommendations for a good morning radio show I can tune into?

I used to listen to Radio 2 when the wonderful Sir Terry presented the breakfast show and remember having to pull over and stop the car when the 'Janet and John' stories were on. I was laughing so hard that I was a danger to myself and other road users

I am not a fan of Zoe Ball as I can't stand the intake of breath but thought I would at least give her a chance.
She's nicked Sara Cox's ken o clock saying and almost the same section just after nine, picking your own songs, like Chris's block busters.
I really want to like her but I can't and what is really grinding my gears is that I don't have a DAB radio in the car so can listen to lamby pie anymore.
I'm sorry Zoe but it's C.Ds for me now.

I was really looking forward to Zoe, she had a program on radio 2 some evenings and she was chilled and played ok music but she’s doing that breathy intake of breath thing and it stresses me out !

I’m trying to get used to Zoe (won’t move to Virgin as Chris Evans was just getting too annoying) but what I’m really disappointed in is Sarah Cox’s show in the evening. I liked her on the breakfast slot but this show just seems really dummed down. And how come Jo Whiley gets the R2 book club on her show? Used to enjoy that on Drivetime.

Hate morning radio it's so noisy!!! Try a podcast or audio book!

I am usually a Radio 4 devotee - except during my morning commute when I listen to Capital (London) with Roman, Vick and Sonny. They have an excellent rapport and I find myself genuinely LOL-ing at their silly humour and the games they make up.

Greg James. Wish he did breakfast show AND drivetime.

I would listen to him all day TBF bonfire.

I do find it odd that radio 1 is considered the station for "youth" when you consider the ages of the presenters:

I think ZB is a huge improvement on CE (but would probably still have preferred SC really), like a pp said he had made me a bit stabby. I've always thought Greg James seemed really sweet and bright but I think R1 music would give me a headache (and I too like SW and am not at all about it!).

Zoe is such a nice person but gives me the rage, just want to shut her up, absolutely loathe the kids show and tell slot, the only kids that are ever cute and to be proud of are my own..and that's at a push, I don't want to hear Felix play the trumpet, Arabella recite a poem or Oscar age 5 play Beethoven ! Nicky Chapman was a great stand in, calm and good music. How I miss Terry, totally irreplaceable

Zoe Ball although her insane chat drives me mad and I turn off when the kid of the day comes on at 7.45 to play the feckin recorder or other nonsense.
